Meditation upon Death

by Kwhajhah Azizul Hasan Majzoob Rahmatullahi Alayh
You were created for worship, remember,
To Bow humble onto Allah, remember,

Otherwise, there will be disgrace, remember,
For life is but a few days, remember,

One day we have to die, Death is ultimate,
Do whatever you wish, Maut is ultimate.

Were you to acquire status & rank, so what?
Vaults of gold and riches be in your hands, so what?

Lavish mansions you were to erect, so what?
Display your pomp and vanity, so what?

One day we have to die, Death is ultimate,
Do whatever you wish, Maut is ultimate.

Caesar, Alexandra & Kisra have all departed,
Napoleon & Rustam have all departed,

What great brave leaders have all departed,
Displaying their worth have all departed!

One day we have to die, Death is ultimate,
Do whatever you wish, Maut is ultimate.

How many houses has Death annihilated,
The play of many has Maut annihilated,

Many of gigantic build has death eliminated,
Huge statures has death eliminated,

One day we have to die, Death is ultimate,
Do whatever you wish, Maut is ultimate.

Yes, O ignoramus, departure is whence?
Arise from negligence, break of dawn will commence,

Pack your provisions, the journey is hence,
Annihilation of every man will commence,

One day we have to die, Death is ultimate,
Do whatever you wish, Maut is ultimate.

Nafs & Shaytan to your bosom are snare,
The attack is imminent, O negligent beware,

Lest weakness arises in your Deen and good fare,
Halt! Stop your evil deeds which scare,

One day we have to die, Death is ultimate,
Do whatever you wish, Maut is ultimate.

Suddenly, death will arrive upon your skull,
then whither you and where Darul amal?

Will perish the golden opportunity,
never again to arise for eternity,

One day we have to die, Death is ultimate,
Do whatever you wish, Maut is ultimate.

Concern for the Akhirah, to you O negligent is nothing,
Do not blunder, worldly comfort in reality is nothing,

Life is but a few days and naught else,
To rely upon it is folly, naught else!

One day we have to die, Death is ultimate,
Do whatever you wish, Maut is ultimate.

You have to depart from here one day,
Will be laid out in your grave one day,

Will show unto Allah your face, one day,
Now no longer waste in folly even one day!

One day we have to die, Death is ultimate,
Do whatever you wish, Maut is ultimate.

Love for Allah

by Ahmed

If my love is attached to Thee
Then from sin I will be free

Each time my heart will beat
Your name will resound with heat

With your name shivers my each limb
They seek to be released from whim

Allah, Allah, is my hearts speech
Your Mercy is what I beseech

The Most Merciful keep me content
With all that You have sent

Keep in my heart Your remembrance
And in Your deen and love allow me to advance

Help me in my quest
Permit me to pass the ultimate test

Save me from the clutches of Satan
Give me death upon Imaan.

S M I L E

She smiled at a sorrowful stranger.
The smile seemed to make him feel better.

He remembered past kindness of a friend
And wrote him a thank you letter.
The friend was so pleased with the thank you
That he left a large tip after lunch.

The waitress, surprised by the size of the tip,
Gave part to a man on the street.
The man on the street was grateful;
For two days he'd had nothing to eat.

After he finished his dinner,He left for his small dingy room.
He didn't know at that momentthat he might be facing his doom.
On the way he picked up a shivering puppy And took him home to get warm.
The puppy was very grateful To be in out of the storm.

That night the house caught on fire.
The puppy barked the alarm.
He barked till he woke the whole household
And saved everybody from harm.

One of the boys that he rescued
Grew up to be President.
All this because of a simple smile
That hadn't cost a cent....and THAT is the power of a smile!

So smile away The Messenger of Allah, upon whom be peace, said: "Every good deed is sadaqah (charity). To meet yourbrother with a smiling face and to pour out from yourbucket into his container are sadaqah."

She Was Not Lost But Was Waiting

Boy has she changed
I remember when she cared not

For pleasing Allah and doing her salah
For this world had shadowed her

Somethings she used to say
Made me think why do I not walk away

But there was something hidden away
Thats why I stayed by her side each and everyday

She kept me going
I kept her flowing
Our friendship kept growing

The eeman that was said to be gone
Was now back and how bright it shone

A girl, a Muslim sister, a friend till the end
Was lost and at a dead end

But the pathway of righteousness reopened
As she with her eeman developed

If she carries on this way
She will be of the highest on such a day

The day I know she most fears
But she needs not cry any tears

I make duah for her
That she gets the reward

The mercy and blessings of Allah
To enter the glorious Jannah.

TV Kills...

By Roald Dahl

TV rots the senses in the head!

It kills the imagination dead!

It clogs and clutters up the mind!

It makes a child so dull and blind.

He can no longer understand a fantasy,

A fairyland!

His brain becomes as soft as cheese!

His powers of thinking rust and freeze!

Judgement Day

For the final time the trumpet is sounded,
You awake from your grave shocked and dumbfounded,

The day will begin with Allah descending,
This is for real, it aint no pretending

Followed by angels who stand all in rows,
Judgement Day is here, and this is how it goes

The scales of justice will be brought before man,
Now you shall have to explain your whole life span

What you did in the open and what you concealed
From big to small shall today be revealed

Men in shear horror will run to one another
But no one can save you, not even your mother

You're standing there naked as the day you were born
This day would come to be, that Allah has sworn

Your deeds shall today be weighed in a scale
This shall determine if you pass or fail

Heaven and Hell shall be brought into vision
Allah alone shall make the ultimate decision

It¹s all up to you now, make up your mind
See Allah¹s greatness, and don¹t be blind

To all brothers and sisters I'd like to say,
Ask for forgiveness and do that today

Don't be foolish and follow shaitaan,
He's out to strip us of our Imaan

We've lived in this world all so deluded
Finally, I hope in jannah you will all be included.
