Craving Your Presence

I hope, wait and yearn to hold onto you so tight,
Radiate some warmth and draw you a smile,
Teach you what's wrong and show you what's right,
Guide you towards light in the midst of a trial...

I long to hear you moan about life and its pain,
So that I hand you the key to happiness and joy,
Let you once again see the bliss of standing in the rain,
The days you enjoyed jumping in the puddle with your toy...

I crave to hear you call me even when I sleep,
To either tell me you love me or show me that you care,
Understand my eyes will not close when I hear you weep,
Yes your life is yours but with me please do share...

because all this is me yearning to be a mother
& for you to be my child.

Like the Strong Wind

It blew like the strong wind;
It burst like a bright flame;
It became like a youth in its determination;
It flew like a hawk, with pride;
Welcome, my caravan; My caravan of wisdom;

O generation of the future, let’s go;
Let’s exert ourselves and work hard;
Let’s always rise to the top;
And never accept to be less than the best;

My friends, let’s go about;
And learn different fields of knowledge;
Let’s excel in five or six;
And help a brother or sister;
Leave your laziness and slumber;
The lazy person has never succeeded;
And stop criticizing and blaming;
As Allah is the Helper of people;

Revive the glory of this Ummah;
When it was at its peak;
And brush this dark cloud away from it;
With your high aspirations…

O Ungrateful Child

I'm sorry I'm not enough for you
Though I gave up my life for you
I gave you my heart, I gave you my soul
I needed you to carry it, but you shot at it till my hearts bleeding at its hole
I keep asking you, what do you need from me ill try for you,
I really, really love you, it pains me when you don't too.
The look in your eyes is dead, the way you glare just stabs my soul repeatedly...
Please just see what you're doing to me,
You're killing me, do you see? Why do you turn a blind eye?
My sweetheart my darling a smile so caring isn't the end of the world..
When you smile and your eyes twinkle, it wraps my world with warmth & care..
For now I need to be left at peace, a goodbye kiss.. I hope you find what you desire most, I can't help you, I lack, I know. May he/ she bring smiles to your heart.. Don't weep when I'm not around..
But remember the life I gave to you

The Childrens Hour

by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Between the dark and the daylight,
When the night is beginning to lower,
Comes a pause in the day's occupations,
That is known as the Children's Hour.

I hear in the chamber above me
The patter of little feet,
The sound of a door that is opened,
And voices soft and sweet.

From my study I see in the lamplight,
Descending the broad hall stair,
Grave Alice, and laughing Allegra,
And Edith with golden hair.

A whisper, and then a silence:
Yet I know by their merry eyes
They are plotting and planning together
To take me by surprise.

A sudden rush from the stairway,
A sudden raid from the hall!
By three doors left unguarded
They enter my castle wall!

They climb up into my turret
O'er the arms and back of my chair;
If I try to escape, they surround me;
They seem to be everywhere.

They almost devour me with kisses,
Their arms about me entwine,
Till I think of the Bishop of Bingen
In his Mouse-Tower on the Rhine!

Do you think, O blue-eyed banditti,
Because you have scaled the wall,
Such an old mustache as I am
Is not a match for you all!

I have you fast in my fortress,
And will not let you depart,
But put you down into the dungeon
In the round-tower of my heart.

And there will I keep you forever,
Yes, forever and a day,
Till the walls shall crumble to ruin,
And moulder in dust away!
