Living With A Secret
It's not easy living with a secret
A secret about your life
It's not easy living with a secret
It eats away at you day and night
During the day you wear a mask
A disguise to hide the truth
In the night you are haunted
By dreams of your lifes truth
It's like a burden on your chest
Even a river of tears cannot push it away
Crushing your soul steadily
As days fly away
You wish you could release this wraith
And free yourself of this torment
But fear of the havoc it will cause
Stops, and makes you relent
One lie upon another lie
In order that no one should find out
Each day it becomes harder
You just wish you can scream and shout
It's not easy living with a secret
My life is a lie
It's not easy living with a secret
A secret about your life

When the Night is Dark
When the night is completely dark,
It finds them staying up in the night
Fear has chased away their sleep
So they stay up
While those who feel secure in this life
Quietly sleep on

Do you Have Time?
I knelt to pray but not for long,
I had too much to do.
I had to hurry and get to work
For bills would soon be due.
So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,
And jumped up off my knees.
My Muslim duty was now done
My soul could rest at ease.
All day long I had no time
To spread a word of cheer.
No time to speak of Allah to friends,
They'd laugh at me I'd fear.
No time, no time, too much to do,
That was my constant cry,
No time to give to souls in need
But at last came the time, the time to die.
I went before the Lord,
I came, I stood with downcast eyes.
For in his hands God held a book;
It was the book of life.
God looked into his book and said
Your name I cannot find.
I once was going to write it down...
But never found the time.
I had too much to do.
I had to hurry and get to work
For bills would soon be due.
So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,
And jumped up off my knees.
My Muslim duty was now done
My soul could rest at ease.

In the name of the Most Kind
In the name of the most kind,
Lord of mankind,
Whose creation has no match,
Without any where left to patch,
I will do all I can,
even though am just a man,
To send him all my praise,
For the rest of my days,
He is the one, the most supreme,
Beyond anyone can dream,
He is the one we must worship,
And of him we must think very deep,
I pray to him to bless me,
So from fire I would be free,
That to heaven i may go,
But what I reap I must sow,
I pray I deserve that heaven,
Especially the one numbered seven,
So help me Lord,
For you are my God.

Modest Muslimah
The non-Muslims look and stare
At the Muslimah completely covered
Going about her business
Not with looks of admiration
But one of revulsion
They are connoisseurs
When it comes to women
Always looking and commenting
Rating and discarding
That’s probably why they’re still searching for the ideal one
Women covered and protected
Always agitate and offend
Even in winter
They feel cheated
From being unable to look and explore
Most women don’t care
About the lewd stares
Water off a ducks back
Panic when they are ignored
And see attention as a compliment
And most dress accordingly
Brainwashed from birth
Pop stars and other celebrities
Teach them how to dress
To impress and get lots of stares
And wolf whistles
As they walk down the street
Porn culture has now entered the mainstream
Just look at any high street on Friday night
So anyone covered is out of the ordinary
“How can any parent allow their daughters to go out dressed like this?”
Say many non-Muslims
No wonder Muslim women are seen as extra ordinary
Some Muslim women are also victims
Hijab with tight clothing
Plucked eyebrows and make up
The head is covered mostly
But shame about everything else
They also get stares and comments
Nothing complimentary
Ho-jabi and other such words
To describe their dress and behaviour
Guys thinking
Someone to practice on
Until we marry someone decent
Who’s properly covered and pious
This is the sad indictment
Of following Islam mixed with western porn culture
And being viewed and treated like a ……..

Why We Love Prophet Muhammad
If you ask me, why do I love him, the
Prophet Muhammad (May Peace be upon him) -
I love him because he cared about us
Muslims, and loving him is a condition –
If you love Allah, then love the Prophet
Muhammad – Allah loved him very much.
He was Allah's Final Messenger, and
The hearts of many did his mercy touch.
His beautiful character makes me admire
Him – his trustworthiness and honesty –
Even before he became God's Prophet,
Disbelievers knew that he was trustworthy.
I love the Prophet Muhammad because
Of good manners he was the best example.
I love how he was patient throughout his life
And how his morals were never skeptical.
He cared about his nation too, thus he taught
Us what we should know about our religion.
When given the chance he'd always educate,
Blessing us with advice through his companions.
As a father and grandfather,
the ProphetMuhammad was kind and tender loving.
His mercy to the poor, widows and orphans –
His good treatment of them is too astounding.
His tolerance, even to non-Muslim
Neighbors, is also something to be admired.
His mercy too was further manifest
Through his kind treatment of the slaves he hired.
As a leader – he was charismatic,
As a warrior – marked with strength and bravery,
As a family man – full of mercy,
And a husband who treated his wives fairly –
As a friend – he was accommodating –
Full of cheer, he brought smiles to people's faces –
Respectful to the old, and kind towards the young –
Mercy was the Prophet Muhammad's basis.
I love how he was merciful – and because
Of his mercy, he always tried to guide.
I love how he struggled to obey Allah,
And how he remained patient all through his life.
I love how he was able to do so much –
So many good deeds, despite his simple life –
How he could survive on mere dates and water,
And yet stand for long hours when praying at night.
I love how he was so thankful to Allah –
How he was always ready to sacrifice.
I love how his character was dignified –
How he was strong and gentle at the same time.
I love the patience of Prophet Muhammad –
In worshipping Allah, in fasting, and praying –
His patience in helping Muslims, and in hard times,
And how he was merciful and forgiving.
Because of my love for Prophet Muhammad,
I try to follow him – and say "you should too" –
If you truly love Allah, then love Muhammad –
Let your following him make your love more true.
O' Allah, help us obey you, and help us
Follow Muhammad – in this world and to Heaven –
Grant us his companionship in Paradise,
And freedom to drink from his blessed fountain.
Ameen.

Someone Somewhere
Sometimes in Life we feel so Blue
But someone somewhere is not as Happy as you
Somewhere Far at the Border when a soldier sleeps
Missing his loved ones he silently weeps
Somewhere a Mother painfully sighs coz
Her newborn baby did not open her eyes
Somewhere a poor dad silently cries
when he sees his son begging for a bowl of Rice
Somewhere in an Orphnage a Little girl is Sad
When she misses her mom & dad
So at Times a Reason to smile U may not have any
Just say to yourself that U are happier than Many
Coz life is Beautiful & its not always Blue
and someone somwhere is not as Happy You..
But someone somewhere is not as Happy as you

Young Muslim
im gonna tell you a tale,
about a young muslim male,
hes a prisoner n hes stuck in a jail,
this world is a prison so hes really on bail,
hes knows its a test he dont wanna fail,
he thinks about his deeds getting put on that scale,
hes so worried its makin him pale,
right to the very tip of his finger nail,
he tryin to stay on the straight dont wanna derail,
sooner or later he'll return to his Lord,
he realises this aint his final abode,
everyday he goes through a phase,
where he reminds himself to lower his gaze,
hes battling against the evil of his soul,
like as if hes juggling with hot charcoal,
tryin 2 control his desires,
cus he dont wanna be in those fires,
full of hypocrites and liars,
you can read his life like a book,
so even if you even took,
the time to have a look,
turning another page,
his life is goin through another stage,
one minute hes happy the next hes in rage,
chapter to chapter,
goin from tears to laughter
only thing hes after,
is a better hereafter,
on this earth,
where he was given birth,
hes looking around thinking this its a illusion,
listening to everything thinking its a delusion,
tryin to clear his mind of this materialistic pollution,
slowly but surely,
his friends are calling him holy,
they seein a change,
cus he following the sunnah to them its strange,
hes the same person with the same heart and intent,
he jus realises its time to repent,
before its too late.
he trys to prostrate,
and ask for forgiveness when he supplicates,
tryin to stay true and sincere,
to the one that everyone should fear,
deep down from the bottom of his heart,
right from the very start,
he knew one day he will depart,
his death he will meet,
he'll be wrapped around 2 white sheet,
in his grave he doesnt wanna get beat,
with that sorching heat,
so hes hoping the angels come with glad tidings when they greet,
saying oh peace be with you,
a real struggle you've been through,
u finally made it in one piece,
dont worry now you got eternity full of peace.

My Return To Allah
Dear Allah, the Only True God,
The God Who hears, and sees all things,
The All-Knowing One, the Most Near,
The Most Merciful, who listens -
Here I am, begging You again,
Allah, the Most Kind and Loving,
I beg Thee, to please forgive me,
While You are the Most Forgiving.
Forgive me for all that I've done,
Forgive my sins -the big and small-
The ones done in public, and the
Hidden ones -Please forgive them all -
The mistakes I did on purpose,
And the sins done unknowingly,
O' Allah, please forgive all sins
I did while You were watching me.
O' Allah, Most Forgiving One,
I beg Thee to please forgive me,
Forgive my past, my present, and
Forgive sins which only You can see -
Forgive me for I am human,
And every human makes mistakes -
But the best of us are those who
Return to God before it's late.
So here I am praying to You,
Allah, the Hearing and Most Near,
To forgive Your slaves who begs You
To cause their sins to disappear.
Those sins that made my faith so weak,
Those sins that made me disobey
Allah, the God who sees all things -
Who sees us every night and day.
Dear God, I am sorry for sinning,
Sorry for disobeying You,
Sorry for not doing those good
Deeds which I was supposed to do.
I'm sorry, God, for being weak.
As I am weak, to You I've come,
To let You know that I'm sorry
For the sins I brought with their outcomes.
I'm sorry, Dear God, please forgive.
Forgive my mistakes that I have done,
And forgive me please, O' Allah,
Those good deeds that I used to shun -
For every wrong thing that I had whispered,
For any sin I said aloud,
For every sin my hands have chosen
While I was feeling lost yet proud -
For every wrong thought I shared or hid,
For every Muslim I may have hurt,
For every single mistake I did,
Since the time of my date of birth.
I beg You, God. to please Forgive -
Forgive me for all the wrongs I did,
Forgive them too the small mistakes
I did when I was once a kid.
Dear God, let my sins be footprints
Washed away by the waves of the sea -
A sea of tears that beg Allah
To forgive me and grant me Mercy.
Dear Allah, please make my sins the cause
Of Your Joy when I return to Thee,
As Your slave who sincerely begs You
For Your Forgiveness and Your Mercy.
I beg Thee to, please, forgive me
O' Allah, the Most Forgiving One -
I've left my past mistakes and sins,
And to You (Allah) I humbly run.

His Story
By: Paper_Hearts
He stumbles upon his home front door
Falling, barely able to keep his feet on the floor
Everything seems bright, there’s way too much noise
And his ears are still ringing from the laughter of the boys
He sees his mom approach and turns away with a groan
Ashamed of his appearance, he can only moan
She stares at him with tired, swollen eyes
Bracing herself for another set of his lies
She begins to question him and it never ends
Says the people he hangs out with are not true friends
Exhausted and angry, he starts to scream
Stating she’s ignorant; things aren’t as they seem
After cursing and roughly shoving her away
He storms towards his room and spots his dad on the way
Sitting alone with a sad disappointed look
And he thinks about how much happiness he has took
When he reaches his room he takes a deep breath
He’s never thought of his parents… never thought of death
Never considered all the pain he had caused through the years
Never thought because of him the people he loved were in tears
Inside of his room once he was alone in the dark
He hand reached out, touched a book, and a spark
Of longing and peacefulness spread through him
So perfectly fit, like an old lost limb
And with tears gathering in his eyes
He opens the book, and there the answer lies
Of true joy, so pure, he can only imagine
And he read more, his heart glowing with passion
Behold! In the Quran, you will find it all
With the book the God you will never fall
Read, and believe, each blessed word
For nothing in there is fake or absurd
And so, he promised himself from that day on
To always fear Allah, thul jalaali wal ikram.

Make Me Strong
I know I’m waiting
Waiting for something
Something to happen to me
But this waiting comes with
Trials and challenges
Nothing in life is free
I wish that somehow
You’d tell me out aloud
That on that day I’ll be ok
But we’ll never know cause
That’s not the way it works
Help me find my way
My Lord show me right from wrong
Give me light make me strong
I know the road is long
Make me strong
Sometimes it just gets too much
I feel that I’ve lost touch
I know the road is long
Make me strong
I know I’m waiting
Yearning for something
Something known only to me
This waiting comes with
Trials and challenges
Life is one mystery
I wish that somehow
You’d tell me out aloud
That on that day you’ll forgive me
But we’ll never know cause
That’s not the way it works
I beg for your mercy
My Lord show me right from wrong
Give me light make me strong
I know the road is long
Make me strong
Sometimes it just gets too much
I feel that I’ve lost touch
I know the road is long
Make me strong

I Yearn Not To Feel
I yearn not to feel,
not to experience this pain
This emotion that breaks me,
and makes me whole once again
Sitting beside the memories, that cause me to go insane
I wish they would fall from me, like clouds cry tears of rain
Holding on to the time passed by -
but for how long
will you keep playing the same songs?
Scared to let go? Aren't we all.
Scared to realise that this is a lie,
but then why does it seem so real?
I yearn not to feel...

Da Firez Burnt Out
Da firez burnt out
da hope diminished
Rappin my story
feelin like life's finished
2 long been caught up in dis web of lies
2 long stayed awake n wanted 2 cry
deep down no one knows whats real n whats not
dey playing with feelings like we a robot
Nah dis aint da "Eshal" i knew
da 1 who looks blank n aint got a clue
Knife shining, blud dripping
pulling da veins, heart ripping
nuff sed, nuff dun, nuff seen
i aint a ‘u can use me’ machine
heart going crazy but gonna control it
yeh i admit ur the one who stole it
but my Lord got some1 better in mind for me
n i'm gonna trust Him with all i own
only dis way i'm gonna get close to my Lord
and get a place near His Throne
da hope diminished
Rappin my story
feelin like life's finished
2 long been caught up in dis web of lies
2 long stayed awake n wanted 2 cry
deep down no one knows whats real n whats not
dey playing with feelings like we a robot
Nah dis aint da "Eshal" i knew
da 1 who looks blank n aint got a clue
Knife shining, blud dripping
pulling da veins, heart ripping
nuff sed, nuff dun, nuff seen
i aint a ‘u can use me’ machine
heart going crazy but gonna control it
yeh i admit ur the one who stole it
but my Lord got some1 better in mind for me
n i'm gonna trust Him with all i own
only dis way i'm gonna get close to my Lord
and get a place near His Throne

Little Do We Know
You feel like its all pain, You feel like there’s no gain
There is something you want to obtain, But for that your sabr you try to maintain
You feel yourself breaking away, You feel yourself being lead astray
Trying to fight your nafs – you’re in dismay, to the Lord you pray
Little do we know, this trial will increase our strength
Little do we know, this trial help us make amends.
Have sabr and you will get through,
By the will of Allaah your Imaan will renew
I know what I am saying may seem unreal
But have faith in Allaah and He will guide a great deal….

If the Prophet were to visit
If the Prophet visited you
(peace and blessings be upon him)
I wonder...
If Prophet Muhammad (sws) visited you
Just for a day or two,
If he came unexpectedly,
I wonder what you would do?
Oh I know you would give your nicest room,
To such an honored guest,
And you would serve him your very best.
You would be the very best,
Cause you're glad to have him there,
That serving him in your home
Would be a joy without compare.
But...when you see him coming,
Would you meet him at the door
With your arms outstretched in welcome,
To your visitor?
Or...would you have to change your clothes
before you let him in?
Or hide some magazines and put
The Quran where they had been?
Would you still watch those movies,
Or your T.V. set?
Or would you switch it off,
Before he gets upset.
Would you turn off the radio,
And hope he had not heard?
And wish that you did not utter
your last loud hasty word?
Would you hide your wordly music,
And instead take out Hadith books?
Could you let him walk right in,
Or would you rush about?
And I wonder...if the Prophet(sws) spent, a day or two with you,
Would you go on doing the things you always do?
Would you go right on and say the things You always say?
Would life for you continue
As it does from day to day?
Would your family conversations,
Keep up their ususal pace?
And would you find it hard each meal,
To say a table grace?
Would you keep up each and every prayer?
Without putting on a frown?
And would you always jump up early,
For Fajr at dawn?
Would you sing the songs you always sing?
And read the book you read?
And let him know the things on which,
Your mind and spirit feed?
Would you take the Prophet (sws) with you,
Everywhere you plan to go?
Or, would you maybe change your plans,
Just for a day or so?
Would you be glad to have him meet,
Your very closest friends?
Or, would you hope they stay away,
Until his visit ends?
Would you be glad to have him stay,
Forever on and on?
Or would you sigh with great relief,
When he at last was gone?
It might be intresting to know,
The things that you would do.
If Prophet Muhammad (sws), came,
To spend some time with you.

Love of the Beloved
The love of the Beloved
must be unconditionally returned.
If you claim love
yet oppose the Beloved,
then your love is but a pretence.
You love the enemies of your Beloved
and still seek love in return.
You fight the beloved of your Beloved.
Is this Love or the following of shaytaan?
True devotion is nothing
but total submission
of body and soul
to One Love.
We have seen humans claim to submit,
yet their loyalties are many.
They put their trust here, and their hope there,
and their love is without consequence.

Words Left Unsaid
Listen closely to the rhythm of the cries
Choked out in sobs from where the heart lies
Torn apart, in a chamber, where none can see
Locked and chained, in the dark, where it’ll always be
Watch the scars blossom in the cloak of the night
Then twinkle with the stars when they can no longer fight
Open up in surrender and pour out the pain
Hidden so deep within, it’ll drive you insane
Touch the ice cold skin & read between the lines
Of regret and loneliness and weak vital signs
That dies with every passing day
Silently thudding words it cannot say.

Break Free
I close my eyes and dream quietly of breaking free.
I dream of breaking every single chain that has ever held me.
I cut them.
I throw glass cups against the wall.
Every vase shatters, and then I’m set free.
Free.
I will own love.
Love will never own me.
To break free is the only object of life.
Every up.
Every down.
Every turn.
Every stab.
Every pleasure.
Every pain.
Every loss.
Every gain.
Every broken chain.
Was just to allow your entire heart,
mind,
soul
and being
to realize la illah illah Allah.
Tell this imprisoned soul that it will never be owned. Nothing will ever own you.
But Allah.

Where Were You?
During the endless days…
And the darkened nights…
I waited upon your return
So I could adjust my ways…
And achieve my rights…
& all the bad memories, you could burn
With every tear that I cried
I saw you; envisioning you near
It’s funny how many times I lied
Telling myself you’d come the next year
Where were you… When my life fell apart…
I waited for you… Through every painful dart…
I called out to you… But you never replied…
I gave up on you… The last time I died…
So now as I write these words
I think of you, and no emotions surge
You were never there for me
And you never will be
For now, I am just an orphan
With no father…
And no remedy…
