My Love Story

She came into my life, when i needed her the most when i had lost it all, the trust, the care, emotion.
she taught me that i could trust people again that i could love and respect once more.
making me think different to how others would percieve. when i felt weak, she'd empower me.
Her presence was pleasing and brought peace to my heart the scenes of the world were colourful now, pure art.
She encouraged me to ask Allah, and He would give.. So by His Mercy i'd learn patience, and to forgive.
We'd work together and be strong. Even though our journey was tiresome, and long..
..but time moved forward, and situations changed. The world distracted.
The love didn't increase, just conflicted.
"i'm sorry" i'd say regretfully.
"repent to Allah" she would reply.
but the love wouldn't rise again. Sins would rise. Our relationship began to change... My heart was greedy, and it wanted more.
the gaze wouldnt lower when passers flaunted the heart said no, but the desires taunted.
the heart covered itself in dirt of black. soon.. she left, and didn't come back...

the regret hurt, and loneliness messed my head. Couldn't go sleep, couldn't rest.
i covered the pain with sin might remove this pain i'm in?
the pain persisted and the desire more so i increased in rebellion, but this feeling wouldnt go..
..i had lost myself.. my regret overpowered
i went in search
she was with her protector, waiting to be found. Just waiting for me to come around. She missed me too but i couldnt be with her, until i gave her her due.
what is your due, i humbly asked?

To pray, to obey, and be steadfast
thats the only way - our relationship lasts.

To be the friend of Allah, and think of death often.
To humble yourself, and do good action

to prepare for that moment, when we all run away
except the one who prepared for that Day

so fear Allah and be committed
to our relationship, so you're admitted,

in the gardens of joy
don't be the people of hell
the home of destruction, a fire filled cell.

mend your ways now, its the right thing to do,
deep down, you know i care for you..

i listened attentively, understanding.. I was wrong in desiring more.

When she was enough for me, when she made me joy. That smile of that kid, who finds his best toy.
The simplicity, the balance, the pact we kept. Thats what we wanted - without regret.
i asked her Protector, who gave her me back. This experience had put me on track.
except this time i was sure i didnt need to exceed desires for more.
the experience gave me fresh strength

The true Joy was in being content.

..We're now together - together till death, a promise we've - upto now - kept.
i hope it remains this way. oh Allah, don't let us stray. from your Mercy and pleasure. since that's the only way, we'll stay together.
now you know, this was my love story.. except, it wasn't what you expected it to be.
this girl, her name was Imaan*. except she wasn't a girl, she's my faith - that kept me strong.
Imaan is my joy, my love, and pleasure.. the one i've tried to find - through many - in haraam, except this caused the least harm,
..the one I still treasure.
--- *Meaning Faith/trust [I.e. Iman billah (a trust/contract with Allah/God)
I ask Allah to make us love Imaan, to travel with her - always, to cause us to die with her, and to arise on Judgment Day with her by our side.

The Woman

The Woman I admire
wearing her attire
... hiding her figure,
thus, curbing my desire..

The Woman I desire
fearing the (hell) Fire
is diligent in her prayers
for the rewards of life hereafter...

The Woman I encounter
is beyond bother
with the keen race
to beautify the face!

The Woman I ask
from dawn to dusk
is busy with ALLAH
murmuring, subhan'allah, subhan'allah, subhana'allah

The Woman I observe
certainly deserves
better respect
than what she expects

The Woman I listen
is very, very stern
for her it is a must
to control one's lust

But the Women I see
sad to say, most wear "minis"
alone I lament... "VIAGRA on heels"?
though they are not made for this!

The Woman I met
boasting her beauty
most probably by surgery?
but does she know it is all temporary?

Hence, the Woman I know
is advised to follow
the sunnah of our beloved Rasulullah
from head to toe....

The Woman I judge
often bears a grudge
EQUALITY, she requests (or rather protests)
but please bear in mind ALLAH'S inquest!

The Women I hurt (by this article)
please do not curse or smut
for it is better I warned
before all is gone...

What Will You Do?

What will you do
When he comes for you
Will you run, jump, hide
Will you search for a ride

You don't want to be seen
Or be forced to come clean
But you know that it's true
He's gonna come for you

There's a time and a place
He'll take you from your space
And he'll put you underground
Somewhere dark with no sound

If you're lucky there'll be light
Something nice for your sight
But for sure he's on his way
Doesn't care what you've to say

He'll come with no visa
Doesn't care if you're a Lisa
Every one will have their meeting
From yesterday to this evening

So prepare for this day
He's gonna come without delay

When you feel that he's near
La ilaha illa Allah should be clear
And despite the one tear
Upon them there'll be no fear!

Do You Know

My body is stretched, it's cracked, it's breaking
My muscles, my tendons, my body is aching
My arm fights my leg, my heart fights my head
My organs protest - they are turning to lead
I have but one body and it is divided,
Each part of it arguing, each argument one sided
The pain is excruciating - or at least it would be
If my nerves were connected, if my eyes could see
My body is numb, my mind in denial -
Well it's not going to matter in a little while.

Anybody know what this 'body' represents?

This struggle has remembered...

Drowned in their own blood, the alleys of the lands,
a burning Palestine, a crying honour,
the deprived mother, the awake sister,
the long awaited sun watched across the horizon,
but the sunlight didn't bring with it peace...
oh knight of truth, where have you gone?
this struggle has remembered you all along

how will you account in front of your Master?
How will you side with the blood of your brothers?
Hiding your face only to hide it once again
in front of your messenger, what will you say?
will you return the message unused?
after he went through so much to lend it to you?
The addicting yawn will end with the night prayer
until dawn comes, you must not sleep
or until your eyes are closed shut from decree
because you will be asked, oh knight of truth, where had you gone?
the virtue's of that struggle had remembered you all along.

Make Believe

Born in what was left of yesterday’s world,
You thought you could come and tell me what was real,
You tried to hide and seek,
Thinking it was okay to delve in make-believe.
I’ve been here before,
Where you take your steps so lightly,
I am not the child of yesterday’s war,
I’ve been here much longer

Tip toe,
My being circumvents your desires
For I tread carefully,
Where you step so easily
What is it like to live where you are?
Thousands of miles away in a compass direction,
It makes you think you’re thousands of miles higher,
Oh, so much nobler

In Our Midst

By Safiya

What is it to seek those eyes,
When thy gaze has never been held?

What is it to pine for that love,
When such love as thy love has never been shared?

What is it to silence all and search for that word,
When thy voice has never been heard?

What is it to search for that hand,
When thy touch has never been felt?

What is it to delve in day-long musings, questioning oneself,
When just an expression from thee would suffice for all?

What is it to send sincere blessings upon a name,
When thee, in person, I have never called?

Oh how I would love to meet the one to whom I owe most,
To greet thy character who would give concern to none.

What is it to search for the moon behind a barrier of clouds,
When thy face outshines the moon and there is no barrier to thee?

What does it feel like to know that the Beloved is in our midst?

I am but a Man

What am I to do, I am but a man?
I shall fall and again of rising will I plan.
I am a sinner and again shall I sin.
For from being who one is, has anyone ever ran?
Such is the way I am, such are my thoughts.
Will you kill me, burn me or place on be a ban?
I live on the hope that one can repent.
And on that hope will I live, do what you can!

Living with a Secret

Living With A Secret
It's not easy living with a secret
A secret about your life
It's not easy living with a secret
It eats away at you day and night
During the day you wear a mask
A disguise to hide the truth
In the night you are haunted
By dreams of your lifes truth
It's like a burden on your chest
Even a river of tears cannot push it away
Crushing your soul steadily
As days fly away
You wish you could release this wraith
And free yourself of this torment
But fear of the havoc it will cause
Stops, and makes you relent
One lie upon another lie
In order that no one should find out
Each day it becomes harder
You just wish you can scream and shout
It's not easy living with a secret
My life is a lie
It's not easy living with a secret
A secret about your life

When the Night is Dark

When the night is completely dark,
It finds them staying up in the night
Fear has chased away their sleep
So they stay up
While those who feel secure in this life
Quietly sleep on

Do you Have Time?

I knelt to pray but not for long,
I had too much to do.

I had to hurry and get to work
For bills would soon be due.

So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,
And jumped up off my knees.

My Muslim duty was now done
My soul could rest at ease.

All day long I had no time
To spread a word of cheer.

No time to speak of Allah to friends,
They'd laugh at me I'd fear.

No time, no time, too much to do,
That was my constant cry,
No time to give to souls in need
But at last came the time, the time to die.

I went before the Lord,
I came, I stood with downcast eyes.

For in his hands God held a book;
It was the book of life.

God looked into his book and said
Your name I cannot find.

I once was going to write it down...
But never found the time.

In the name of the Most Kind

In the name of the most kind,
Lord of mankind,
Whose creation has no match,
Without any where left to patch,
I will do all I can,
even though am just a man,
To send him all my praise,
For the rest of my days,
He is the one, the most supreme,
Beyond anyone can dream,
He is the one we must worship,
And of him we must think very deep,
I pray to him to bless me,
So from fire I would be free,
That to heaven i may go,
But what I reap I must sow,
I pray I deserve that heaven,
Especially the one numbered seven,
So help me Lord,
For you are my God.

Modest Muslimah

The non-Muslims look and stare
At the Muslimah completely covered
Going about her business
Not with looks of admiration
But one of revulsion

They are connoisseurs
When it comes to women
Always looking and commenting
Rating and discarding
That’s probably why they’re still searching for the ideal one

Women covered and protected
Always agitate and offend
Even in winter
They feel cheated
From being unable to look and explore

Most women don’t care
About the lewd stares
Water off a ducks back
Panic when they are ignored
And see attention as a compliment
And most dress accordingly

Brainwashed from birth
Pop stars and other celebrities
Teach them how to dress
To impress and get lots of stares
And wolf whistles
As they walk down the street

Porn culture has now entered the mainstream
Just look at any high street on Friday night
So anyone covered is out of the ordinary
“How can any parent allow their daughters to go out dressed like this?”
Say many non-Muslims
No wonder Muslim women are seen as extra ordinary

Some Muslim women are also victims
Hijab with tight clothing
Plucked eyebrows and make up
The head is covered mostly
But shame about everything else

They also get stares and comments
Nothing complimentary
Ho-jabi and other such words
To describe their dress and behaviour

Guys thinking
Someone to practice on
Until we marry someone decent
Who’s properly covered and pious
This is the sad indictment
Of following Islam mixed with western porn culture
And being viewed and treated like a ……..

Why We Love Prophet Muhammad

If you ask me, why do I love him, the
Prophet Muhammad (May Peace be upon him) -
I love him because he cared about us
Muslims, and loving him is a condition –

If you love Allah, then love the Prophet
Muhammad – Allah loved him very much.
He was Allah's Final Messenger, and
The hearts of many did his mercy touch.

His beautiful character makes me admire
Him – his trustworthiness and honesty –
Even before he became God's Prophet,
Disbelievers knew that he was trustworthy.

I love the Prophet Muhammad because
Of good manners he was the best example.
I love how he was patient throughout his life
And how his morals were never skeptical.

He cared about his nation too, thus he taught
Us what we should know about our religion.
When given the chance he'd always educate,
Blessing us with advice through his companions.

As a father and grandfather,
the ProphetMuhammad was kind and tender loving.
His mercy to the poor, widows and orphans –
His good treatment of them is too astounding.

His tolerance, even to non-Muslim
Neighbors, is also something to be admired.
His mercy too was further manifest
Through his kind treatment of the slaves he hired.

As a leader – he was charismatic,
As a warrior – marked with strength and bravery,
As a family man – full of mercy,
And a husband who treated his wives fairly –

As a friend – he was accommodating –
Full of cheer, he brought smiles to people's faces –
Respectful to the old, and kind towards the young –
Mercy was the Prophet Muhammad's basis.

I love how he was merciful – and because
Of his mercy, he always tried to guide.
I love how he struggled to obey Allah,
And how he remained patient all through his life.

I love how he was able to do so much –
So many good deeds, despite his simple life –
How he could survive on mere dates and water,
And yet stand for long hours when praying at night.

I love how he was so thankful to Allah –
How he was always ready to sacrifice.
I love how his character was dignified –
How he was strong and gentle at the same time.

I love the patience of Prophet Muhammad –
In worshipping Allah, in fasting, and praying –
His patience in helping Muslims, and in hard times,
And how he was merciful and forgiving.

Because of my love for Prophet Muhammad,
I try to follow him – and say "you should too" –
If you truly love Allah, then love Muhammad –
Let your following him make your love more true.

O' Allah, help us obey you, and help us
Follow Muhammad – in this world and to Heaven –
Grant us his companionship in Paradise,
And freedom to drink from his blessed fountain.
Ameen.

Someone Somewhere

Sometimes in Life we feel so Blue
But someone somewhere is not as Happy as you

Somewhere Far at the Border when a soldier sleeps
Missing his loved ones he silently weeps

Somewhere a Mother painfully sighs coz
Her newborn baby did not open her eyes

Somewhere a poor dad silently cries
when he sees his son begging for a bowl of Rice

Somewhere in an Orphnage a Little girl is Sad
When she misses her mom & dad

So at Times a Reason to smile U may not have any
Just say to yourself that U are happier than Many

Coz life is Beautiful & its not always Blue
and someone somwhere is not as Happy You..

Young Muslim

im gonna tell you a tale,
about a young muslim male,
hes a prisoner n hes stuck in a jail,
this world is a prison so hes really on bail,
hes knows its a test he dont wanna fail,
he thinks about his deeds getting put on that scale,
hes so worried its makin him pale,
right to the very tip of his finger nail,
he tryin to stay on the straight dont wanna derail,
sooner or later he'll return to his Lord,
he realises this aint his final abode,
everyday he goes through a phase,
where he reminds himself to lower his gaze,
hes battling against the evil of his soul,
like as if hes juggling with hot charcoal,
tryin 2 control his desires,
cus he dont wanna be in those fires,
full of hypocrites and liars,

you can read his life like a book,
so even if you even took,
the time to have a look,
turning another page,
his life is goin through another stage,
one minute hes happy the next hes in rage,
chapter to chapter,
goin from tears to laughter
only thing hes after,
is a better hereafter,
on this earth,
where he was given birth,
hes looking around thinking this its a illusion,
listening to everything thinking its a delusion,
tryin to clear his mind of this materialistic pollution,
slowly but surely,
his friends are calling him holy,
they seein a change,
cus he following the sunnah to them its strange,
hes the same person with the same heart and intent,
he jus realises its time to repent,
before its too late.
he trys to prostrate,
and ask for forgiveness when he supplicates,

tryin to stay true and sincere,
to the one that everyone should fear,
deep down from the bottom of his heart,
right from the very start,
he knew one day he will depart,
his death he will meet,
he'll be wrapped around 2 white sheet,
in his grave he doesnt wanna get beat,
with that sorching heat,
so hes hoping the angels come with glad tidings when they greet,
saying oh peace be with you,
a real struggle you've been through,
u finally made it in one piece,
dont worry now you got eternity full of peace.

My Return To Allah

Dear Allah, the Only True God,
The God Who hears, and sees all things,
The All-Knowing One, the Most Near,
The Most Merciful, who listens -

Here I am, begging You again,
Allah, the Most Kind and Loving,
I beg Thee, to please forgive me,
While You are the Most Forgiving.

Forgive me for all that I've done,
Forgive my sins -the big and small-
The ones done in public, and the
Hidden ones -Please forgive them all -

The mistakes I did on purpose,
And the sins done unknowingly,
O' Allah, please forgive all sins
I did while You were watching me.

O' Allah, Most Forgiving One,
I beg Thee to please forgive me,
Forgive my past, my present, and
Forgive sins which only You can see -

Forgive me for I am human,
And every human makes mistakes -
But the best of us are those who
Return to God before it's late.

So here I am praying to You,
Allah, the Hearing and Most Near,
To forgive Your slaves who begs You
To cause their sins to disappear.

Those sins that made my faith so weak,
Those sins that made me disobey
Allah, the God who sees all things -
Who sees us every night and day.

Dear God, I am sorry for sinning,
Sorry for disobeying You,
Sorry for not doing those good
Deeds which I was supposed to do.

I'm sorry, God, for being weak.
As I am weak, to You I've come,
To let You know that I'm sorry
For the sins I brought with their outcomes.

I'm sorry, Dear God, please forgive.
Forgive my mistakes that I have done,
And forgive me please, O' Allah,
Those good deeds that I used to shun -

For every wrong thing that I had whispered,
For any sin I said aloud,
For every sin my hands have chosen
While I was feeling lost yet proud -

For every wrong thought I shared or hid,
For every Muslim I may have hurt,
For every single mistake I did,
Since the time of my date of birth.

I beg You, God. to please Forgive -
Forgive me for all the wrongs I did,
Forgive them too the small mistakes
I did when I was once a kid.

Dear God, let my sins be footprints
Washed away by the waves of the sea -
A sea of tears that beg Allah
To forgive me and grant me Mercy.

Dear Allah, please make my sins the cause
Of Your Joy when I return to Thee,
As Your slave who sincerely begs You
For Your Forgiveness and Your Mercy.

I beg Thee to, please, forgive me
O' Allah, the Most Forgiving One -
I've left my past mistakes and sins,
And to You (Allah) I humbly run.

His Story

By: Paper_Hearts

He stumbles upon his home front door
Falling, barely able to keep his feet on the floor
Everything seems bright, there’s way too much noise
And his ears are still ringing from the laughter of the boys

He sees his mom approach and turns away with a groan
Ashamed of his appearance, he can only moan
She stares at him with tired, swollen eyes
Bracing herself for another set of his lies

She begins to question him and it never ends
Says the people he hangs out with are not true friends
Exhausted and angry, he starts to scream
Stating she’s ignorant; things aren’t as they seem

After cursing and roughly shoving her away
He storms towards his room and spots his dad on the way
Sitting alone with a sad disappointed look
And he thinks about how much happiness he has took

When he reaches his room he takes a deep breath
He’s never thought of his parents… never thought of death
Never considered all the pain he had caused through the years
Never thought because of him the people he loved were in tears

Inside of his room once he was alone in the dark
He hand reached out, touched a book, and a spark
Of longing and peacefulness spread through him
So perfectly fit, like an old lost limb

And with tears gathering in his eyes
He opens the book, and there the answer lies
Of true joy, so pure, he can only imagine
And he read more, his heart glowing with passion

Behold! In the Quran, you will find it all
With the book the God you will never fall
Read, and believe, each blessed word
For nothing in there is fake or absurd

And so, he promised himself from that day on
To always fear Allah, thul jalaali wal ikram.

Make Me Strong

I know I’m waiting
Waiting for something
Something to happen to me
But this waiting comes with
Trials and challenges
Nothing in life is free

I wish that somehow
You’d tell me out aloud
That on that day I’ll be ok
But we’ll never know cause
That’s not the way it works
Help me find my way

My Lord show me right from wrong
Give me light make me strong
I know the road is long
Make me strong
Sometimes it just gets too much
I feel that I’ve lost touch
I know the road is long
Make me strong

I know I’m waiting
Yearning for something
Something known only to me
This waiting comes with
Trials and challenges
Life is one mystery

I wish that somehow
You’d tell me out aloud
That on that day you’ll forgive me
But we’ll never know cause
That’s not the way it works
I beg for your mercy

My Lord show me right from wrong
Give me light make me strong
I know the road is long
Make me strong
Sometimes it just gets too much
I feel that I’ve lost touch
I know the road is long
Make me strong

I Yearn Not To Feel

I yearn not to feel,
not to experience this pain

This emotion that breaks me,
and makes me whole once again

Sitting beside the memories, that cause me to go insane
I wish they would fall from me, like clouds cry tears of rain

Holding on to the time passed by -
but for how long
will you keep playing the same songs?

Scared to let go? Aren't we all.
Scared to realise that this is a lie,
but then why does it seem so real?

I yearn not to feel...

Da Firez Burnt Out

Da firez burnt out
da hope diminished
Rappin my story
feelin like life's finished

2 long been caught up in dis web of lies
2 long stayed awake n wanted 2 cry
deep down no one knows whats real n whats not
dey playing with feelings like we a robot

Nah dis aint da "Eshal" i knew

da 1 who looks blank n aint got a clue
Knife shining, blud dripping
pulling da veins, heart ripping

nuff sed, nuff dun, nuff seen
i aint a ‘u can use me’ machine
heart going crazy but gonna control it
yeh i admit ur the one who stole it

but my Lord got some1 better in mind for me
n i'm gonna trust Him with all i own
only dis way i'm gonna get close to my Lord
and get a place near His Throne

Little Do We Know

You feel like its all pain, You feel like there’s no gain
There is something you want to obtain, But for that your sabr you try to maintain

You feel yourself breaking away, You feel yourself being lead astray
Trying to fight your nafs – you’re in dismay, to the Lord you pray

Little do we know, this trial will increase our strength
Little do we know, this trial help us make amends.

Have sabr and you will get through,
By the will of Allaah your Imaan will renew
I know what I am saying may seem unreal
But have faith in Allaah and He will guide a great deal….

If the Prophet were to visit

If the Prophet visited you (peace and blessings be upon him)
I wonder...

If Prophet Muhammad (sws) visited you
Just for a day or two,
If he came unexpectedly,
I wonder what you would do?
Oh I know you would give your nicest room,
To such an honored guest,
And you would serve him your very best.

You would be the very best,
Cause you're glad to have him there,
That serving him in your home
Would be a joy without compare.

But...when you see him coming,
Would you meet him at the door
With your arms outstretched in welcome,
To your visitor?

Or...would you have to change your clothes
before you let him in?
Or hide some magazines and put
The Quran where they had been?

Would you still watch those movies,
Or your T.V. set?
Or would you switch it off,
Before he gets upset.

Would you turn off the radio,
And hope he had not heard?
And wish that you did not utter
your last loud hasty word?

Would you hide your wordly music,
And instead take out Hadith books?
Could you let him walk right in,
Or would you rush about?

And I wonder...if the Prophet(sws) spent, a day or two with you,
Would you go on doing the things you always do?
Would you go right on and say the things You always say?
Would life for you continue
As it does from day to day?

Would your family conversations,
Keep up their ususal pace?
And would you find it hard each meal,
To say a table grace?

Would you keep up each and every prayer?
Without putting on a frown?
And would you always jump up early,
For Fajr at dawn?

Would you sing the songs you always sing?
And read the book you read?
And let him know the things on which,
Your mind and spirit feed?

Would you take the Prophet (sws) with you,
Everywhere you plan to go?
Or, would you maybe change your plans,
Just for a day or so?

Would you be glad to have him meet,
Your very closest friends?
Or, would you hope they stay away,
Until his visit ends?

Would you be glad to have him stay,
Forever on and on?
Or would you sigh with great relief,
When he at last was gone?

It might be intresting to know,
The things that you would do.
If Prophet Muhammad (sws), came,
To spend some time with you.

Love of the Beloved

The love of the Beloved
must be unconditionally returned.

If you claim love
yet oppose the Beloved,
then your love is but a pretence.
You love the enemies of your Beloved
and still seek love in return.

You fight the beloved of your Beloved.
Is this Love or the following of shaytaan?
True devotion is nothing
but total submission
of body and soul
to One Love.

We have seen humans claim to submit,
yet their loyalties are many.

They put their trust here, and their hope there,
and their love is without consequence.

Words Left Unsaid

Listen closely to the rhythm of the cries
Choked out in sobs from where the heart lies
Torn apart, in a chamber, where none can see
Locked and chained, in the dark, where it’ll always be

Watch the scars blossom in the cloak of the night
Then twinkle with the stars when they can no longer fight
Open up in surrender and pour out the pain
Hidden so deep within, it’ll drive you insane

Touch the ice cold skin & read between the lines
Of regret and loneliness and weak vital signs
That dies with every passing day
Silently thudding words it cannot say.

Break Free

I close my eyes and dream quietly of breaking free.

I dream of breaking every single chain that has ever held me.

I cut them.

I throw glass cups against the wall.

Every vase shatters, and then I’m set free.

Free.

I will own love.

Love will never own me.

To break free is the only object of life.

Every up.

Every down.

Every turn.

Every stab.

Every pleasure.

Every pain.

Every loss.

Every gain.

Every broken chain.

Was just to allow your entire heart,

mind,

soul

and being

to realize la illah illah Allah.

Tell this imprisoned soul that it will never be owned. Nothing will ever own you.

But Allah.

Where Were You?

During the endless days…
And the darkened nights…
I waited upon your return

So I could adjust my ways…
And achieve my rights…
& all the bad memories, you could burn

With every tear that I cried
I saw you; envisioning you near
It’s funny how many times I lied
Telling myself you’d come the next year

Where were you… When my life fell apart…
I waited for you… Through every painful dart…
I called out to you… But you never replied…
I gave up on you… The last time I died…

So now as I write these words
I think of you, and no emotions surge

You were never there for me
And you never will be
For now, I am just an orphan

With no father
And no remedy…

You Will Pull Through

It’s there, the pain
It’s making u insane
u turn to Allaah and to Him you complain
whilst from sins you try to refrain
ur Imaan u try to maintain

u know u can get through this.
you know ur strong
u gotta fight the shaytaan
u gotta prove him wrong

yes the memories will remain
they will haunt you again and again
but this is where the test comes
to the shaytaan will u succumb?

No. ur stronger than that
when u giv up something for the sake of ur Lord
He provides you with something better
than what you had in the past

He will give you Shelter

At times it may seem real hard
but you will pull through
that is a promise from me to you….

One More Chance

I've used you so fruitlessly,
I've abused what you've trusted upon me
I have sinned countlessly,
Blamed it on you, though it was me
Look at you! you lay so lifelessly
Its too late for an apology:
Now just an empty shell, eyes half opened to see:
Following me resentfully
I want to go back & make sure I die peacefully,
Another chance & A "muslim" I would be,
Let me go back, I want Allah to be pleased with me...
I need just ONE more chance so desperately
Please, I now see things truthfully!!

Allahs Love

A Poem by Jalylah A. Mala
(Sat. 04 September 2004)

Why did you keep your burden inside you when you have Allah to tell it to? Why did you fear everyone might hate you when you have Him
who understands you?
Why did you fill your heart with pain and anguish when you have Him
to fill it with eternal bliss?
Why did you choose to settle in turbulence when there’s His pure love
that speaks of peace?

Allah never left you alone,
He was with you all along,
He was tapping your shoulder when you almost wanted to stop,
He was putting a smile on your face when you almost wanted to give up.

Allah has seen the real person in you yearning,
He was wiping your tears off when you were down crying,
He has all the answers to all your questions but you just didn’t care,
You didn’t let Him be your guide because you weren’t sure if for you,
He was there.

Open your heart,
Let Allah wash away the hurt,
Embrace the greatest love He, alone could give you,
He will never doubt you, just be true.

Allah loves what He made,
“Nobody loves me,” that’s what you said,
He wants to see you smile so never lose hope,
So now hang on to His Paradise of heaven’s rope.

Pray to Allah for He listens to all prayers,
Believe in Him alone and not the deceiving others,
Do what He says for He is your mentor,
Love Him truly and not the impostor.

So listen now and lo!
Look up and take it slow,
Walk on to the life Allah chose you to live,
Live your life with Him and you will never grieve.

When you are in a discourse with no more to tell, let Allah’s love
be your word,
When you are in a battle unarmed, let His love be your sword,
When you feel cold, let His love warm you,
When you stumble and fall, let His love catch you.

When you can no longer think, let Allah’s love quicken your memory,
When you have no more food to eat, let His love fill your tummy,
When you can no longer breathe, let His love be your air,
When you have no more to drink, let His love be your water.

When you are lost in the rain, let Allah’s love be your shade,
When you can no longer hear, let His love be your aide,
When you are lost in the dark, let His love be your light,
When you can no longer see, let His love be your sight.

When you are bruised in a fight, let Allah’s love stop your bleedings,
When you can no longer fly, let His love be your wings,
When you are wronged in an argument, let His love unleash what’s true,
When you can no longer walk, let His love carry you.

When no one understands you, let Allah’s love be searched,
When no one listens to you, let His love be heard,
When no one believes in you, let His love be seen,
When no one trusts you, let His love be serene.

When you believe nobody loves you, let Allah’s love be your confidence,
When you doubt nobody protects you, let His love be your defense,
When you feel nobody cares for you, let His love heed,
When you think nobody minds you, let His love breed.

When someone fools you, let Allah’s love make you wiser,
When someone belittles you, let His love make you greater,
When someone scorns you, let His love admire you,
When someone abandons you, let His love show you what to do.

When you are weak, let Allah’s love be your strength,
When you can no longer smile, let His love be sent,
When you are lost, let His love be your way,
When you can no longer speak, let His love tell you what to say.

When you are afraid, let Allah’s love be your protection,
When you are confused, let His love be your liberation,
When you are ill, let His love be your remedy,
When you are hurting, let His love be your therapy.

When you feel like giving up, let Allah’s love push you,
When you feel tired and fed up, let His love’s purpose pursue,
When you reach the pinnacle of your journey,
The angels of the heavens will welcome you finally.

So go on,
Walk to Allah’s throne,
Dry your eyes now and believe,
You have a beautiful life to live.

Stand up and don’t be afraid,
Walk on to where the truth is laid,
Feel the presence of Allah’s love in every air that you breathe,
Feel the might of His power in every drop of hope you grip.

Walk on to the road leading to His heavens’ grandeur,
Put your best foot forward and think not of the obscure,
Don’t go a day without his love, you will never falter,
Don’t let the devil deceive your heart, Allah shall conquer it forever.

So, smile now oh dear,
Now it’s all clear,
The Almighty Allah is forgiving,
Just let go of your hurting.

Hold on and believe in Allah’s love,
That’s the best you can have,
Please never weep again,
And in your heart, let His love remain.

O Ungrateful Child

I'm sorry I'm not enough for you
Though I gave up my life for you
I gave you my heart, I gave you my soul
I needed you to carry it, but you shot at it till my hearts bleeding at its hole
I keep asking you, what do you need from me ill try for you,
I really, really love you, it pains me when you don't too.
The look in your eyes is dead, the way you glare just stabs my soul repeatedly...
Please just see what you're doing to me,
You're killing me, do you see? Why do you turn a blind eye?
My sweetheart my darling a smile so caring isn't the end of the world..
When you smile and your eyes twinkle, it wraps my world with warmth & care..
For now I need to be left at peace, a goodbye kiss.. I hope you find what you desire most, I can't help you, I lack, I know. May he/ she bring smiles to your heart.. Don't weep when I'm not around..
But remember the life I gave to you

We Have Shamed Ourselves

O Allah, we have shamed ourselves,
Our sins are very great,
But with every respect,
Your mercy is ever so greater,

O Allah, please guide us to your path,
O Allah, please save us from your wrath,
Allow us to go to your promised garden,
To see the rest of the sons of Adam,

Oh Allah, save us from the hell fire,
Where you have promised the disbelievers,
Who among them will have no interceders,
And no one to speak for them,
As they will be the most arrogant of men,

Grant us with Jannah,
Ar Rehman,
Grant us with Jannah,
Ar Raheem,
Grant us with Jannah,
And save us from those who disbelieve.

Ameen.

A Dying Thought

How many a man (has) walked the earth
Watching around him others die
"'Tis for others to worship Him now
Plenty of time still do have I"

Year upon year frittered he
Seeking ways to gladden his soul
Preaching unto others the fear of God
Content thereby, having made it his goal

At a friend's house, beside the corpse
He spoke words worthy of just and wise
Then went into the night with goblets of wine
And reached upon dawn in moans and sighs

His mind still lost in longings and lust
He found his body writhing in pain
A step away from death, pleasures no longer did entice
A dying thought -- "What did I gain?"

Request to Allah

Get me a connection , ya Allah..
Though, I want it to be virtual..
And let me tell it to you, ya Allah..
For you are the All Knower, the bearer of witnesses..
Of how I feel, how far I yearn, or how much i truely miss my future better half!

Yet it may seem to be a superfluous languish to many..

As long as i'm sure of the fact, "You are the Concealer, the Protector"!
And always would I be sure of it, thus commensing with my ready to flow heart..

Tell him my Lord, that my whispers mean a lot;
Words just frailing to topple into the intimacy..
Show him your straight path, that which I would want for my very own self..

Cover him up Ya Allah, with my warm caress and tenderness..
Only affordable through your everlasting Grace upon him..

I ask of you Allah; Send him my greetings, send him my love..
Send him Peace on my regards..

Reassure him of my undertakings, oh Almighty!
Let him see how much i entreat you, to make me perfectly special for him..
Of how pleasurable it occurs to me, in transforming myself as a loving wife to be..

Lest would i displease him in any way; Passionately comforting him in every way!
Giving him earnest support with my body, mind & soul..

As of letting him know of these Ya Rab, soothe his soul with my innate presence..
For eyes could percieve, but little; While hearts can still twin up from miles apart..

Make him righteous amongst his folk, Ya Allah;
Shower him with your bounty of Mercy..

Let him be at his best in simulating the loving Prophet (pbuh),
When certainly, striving to be the best towards his Wife!

What more will his lady love need?
When he upholds his deen, without sparing the examplary..?

Thus, i submit to you My Master, this brief petition with atmost care,
With love for my man, only thriving more, as time races into a life that we would share,
Setting together intentions, so pure & a relation that can never endure!

Oh Emigrant

Oh emigrant, Oh where are you going?
Eventually you must come back
How many ignorant people have regretted this
Before you and me

How many overpopulated countries and empty lands have you seen?
How much time have you wasted?
How much have you yet to lose?
Oh emigrant in the country of others
Do you even know what's going on?
Destiny and time follow their course but you ignore it

Why is your heart so sad?
And why are you staying there miserable?
Hardship will end and you no longer learn or build anything
The days don't last, just as your youth and mine didn't
Oh poor fellow who missed his chance just as I missed mine

Oh traveler, I give you a piece of advice to follow right away
See what is in your interest before you sell or buy
Oh sleeper, your news reached me
And what happened to you happened to me
Thus, the heart returns to its creator, the Highest (God)

Translation of Ya Rayah, infamous Arabic soulful song

Worshipping

I'm not praying.
I'm totally worshiping.
If you don't believe me,
just for Allah Kneel
then come and tell me, how did it feel?!

Just standing there saying
الحمد لله رب العالمين
It's like I'm being washed to come out pure and clean.
How anyone can live without feeling the way I do?

Starting to be your slave is what set me free,
how can anyone see the sky up high,
or the way the cute little birds fly?
And still doesn't believe in YOU!!
Open your eyes people, just try to SEE.

Look at the way the small ant finds its food,
or the way ALLAH brought us together in Islam brotherhood,
where black and white together stood.

My prayer is that everyone can see the Islam I know,
that everyone can feel the way I do,
only by sitting there on the floor,
raising my hands up high,
knowing that my only escape is YOUR Open door,

and you never even once let me down in anyway.
How come? and You are the one and Only who created us all.
Just wanted to say thank you for making me a "muslimh" from my first day.

when everyone gave up...I didn't
because deep inside I had faith in YOU.
Just then I knew,it was your hint
that everything will be alright

knowing you are right here,
I never had a lonely night
believe me I'm not praying...I'm totally worshipping.

Do Not Walk Upon Earth...

“And do not walk upon the earth except in humbleness,
for how many people underneath it are more exalted than you!
If you are in glory, goodness and strength,
then how many have died that were more stronger than you”.

A Womans Duah

A woman's du'a for her future husband ♥

O Allah! Please grant me the one
Who will be the garment for my soul
Who will satisfy half of my deen
And in doing so make me whole

Make him righteous and on your path
In all he'll do and say
And sprinkle water on me at Fajr
Reminding me to pray

May he earn from halaal sources
And spend within his means
May he seek Allah's guidance always
To fulfill all his dreams

May he always refer to Qur'an
and the Sunnah as his moral guide
May he thank and appreciate Allah
For the woman at his side

May he be conscious of his anger
And often fast and pray
Be charitable and sensitive
In every possible way

May he honour and protect me
And guide me in this life
And please Allah! Make me worthy
to be his loving wife

And finally, O Allah!
Make him abundant in love and laughter
In taqwa and sincerity
In striving for the hereafter!

May Allah grant all the Muslim sisters with such husbands... Ameen.

I Have Strayed

Ya Allah I have strayed,
countless times disobeyed:
With the sight you blessed me with I have abused,
the ears & tongue I misused...
Is there anyone that guides but You?
And who forgives besides You...
My sins reach up or beyond the sky
When I remember my heart weeps & cries
I feel so desperate, the state of my grave?
Yet If your mercy & forgiveness doesn't release me, Yah Allah I'm trying, a sinful, remorseful slave.
I let this dunya overtake me
I let it control me, strung me like puppet, miserably tied unable to break free
Yet here I am Allah, hoping for your Mercy, Save me, O Allah, please save me..
Yah Malik Yawm middeen!
Yah Dhul Jalali wal ikram!
Allahummah Alaameen!

The Interminglers

Many of the opposite sex who are single
love to mix and mingle
They say they are only 'friends'
but this is an Unislamic trend

If only they would lower their gaze
they wouldn't be in a stupendous daze;
If only they Allah could see even in a haze
their heinous sins would them faze

Soon Shaytaan turns 'friends' into lovers
and they perpetrate shameful acts behind covers
I wonder if these people are aware of their ever watchful Lord
when they act on their own nefarious accord!

Pride

One inflicted with pride
will go on a deadly ride
Stealthily like a thief on a dark night
pride steals into the heart like blight

Until such a time his ego soars
and when he talks he haughtily roars
He's blinded to his own faults
like one intoxicated by fermented malt

Humility and humbleness are to him foreign
as is his Lord Sovereign
Until his ego cracks like an egg
how will he forgiveness beg?

The Childrens Hour

by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Between the dark and the daylight,
When the night is beginning to lower,
Comes a pause in the day's occupations,
That is known as the Children's Hour.

I hear in the chamber above me
The patter of little feet,
The sound of a door that is opened,
And voices soft and sweet.

From my study I see in the lamplight,
Descending the broad hall stair,
Grave Alice, and laughing Allegra,
And Edith with golden hair.

A whisper, and then a silence:
Yet I know by their merry eyes
They are plotting and planning together
To take me by surprise.

A sudden rush from the stairway,
A sudden raid from the hall!
By three doors left unguarded
They enter my castle wall!

They climb up into my turret
O'er the arms and back of my chair;
If I try to escape, they surround me;
They seem to be everywhere.

They almost devour me with kisses,
Their arms about me entwine,
Till I think of the Bishop of Bingen
In his Mouse-Tower on the Rhine!

Do you think, O blue-eyed banditti,
Because you have scaled the wall,
Such an old mustache as I am
Is not a match for you all!

I have you fast in my fortress,
And will not let you depart,
But put you down into the dungeon
In the round-tower of my heart.

And there will I keep you forever,
Yes, forever and a day,
Till the walls shall crumble to ruin,
And moulder in dust away!

Stop Sinning

He thought he was only twenty and was going to live to seventy.
The west taught him to be free and to acquire a useless degree.
Filled with selfishness and greed, never did he perform a single deed.
When told to change and repent, he said why? I'm happy and content.

If only he knew what contentment was, he may not have made such a loss.
Satisfaction is what he chased, with disbelievers he embraced.
The wrong he saw with his eyes, the tongue he used to utter lies.

But one night he was given a fright, he was told: "take your final breath, for in front of you is death".
Your life indeed you wasted, the punishment shall now be tasted.
Now he lies beneath the ground, unable to make a single sound.
But one thing for sure, it was the only cure.
He finally stopped sinning.

Hev You Seen Those Peeps

That crazy look in yo eyes
Yo face heat with rage
you and the other guys
If it chances, a war you're get set to wage

Yo girl all dolled up
Like she's yo trophy
& on yo other side, is she
Like, get a gurl, her friends for free?

Yo foreheads tattooed: HATER
Lil Difference between you and Hitler
And yo lil clique like the group O' Nazis
WW3 about to explode, like a repeat of History, Except jews can't dig up Hitler so they & U help slaughter My family:
My brothers, My sisters

Just cause we're Muslims
We believe in Allah
Not givin in to lusts & whims
And we love our messenger

And guess what, you can't hurt him
Peace be upon him
Not a second goes by
When his memory isn't held high
Around the globe
Like a clock, tick tock..
We are muslim
Followers of him, peace be upon him

& my hijab burn yo sight?
Y???
Cause its modesty shames yo gurl who's barely clothed, right?
Or maybe cause you can't perv with yo nasty mind..?

& the brother with the beard
Now its just killin you
To you its weird?
Look at yo crucifix, jesus has a beard
And mary has a hijab & the nuns have a hijab
To them u show respect
& for us, u HATE, what else should we expect
Racist like hell, though you zip it, oh well.

So get yo facts straight before u hate
Cause you're closer to death today
Than you were yesterday
You will die for sure, its fate
Is it worth the price you'll pay
Sellin yo soul to the devil
Succumbing to evil
It Controls you, cause you allow it to lead you astray
That's why you have

That crazy look in yo eyes
Yo face heat with rage
you and the other guys
Waiting in ambush, a war you're get set to wage

Let Days Go Forth

Let days go forth and do as they please
And remain firm when settled is the Decree

Don’t be afraid of what happens by night
For the affairs of this world are not to last

And be a man, strong in the face of calamities
And let your nature be that of kindness and honesty

If your faults become too much in front of the people
And you wish that they were to be concealed,

Then know that kindness covers all faults
And how many faults are kept hidden by kindness!

No sadness lasts forever, nor any happiness
And you shall not remain in poverty, or any luxury

Generosity cannot be hoped from the miserly
For no water exists in the Fire for the thirsty

Your provision will not be lessened due to life’s delays
And it cannot be increased due to your haste

If, in your heart, you possess contentment
Then you and those who possess the world are equal

And for him upon whose horizon death descends,
No earth can offer him protection, nor any sky

Indeed, the earth of Allah is certainly vast
But if decree descends, then decree is constricted

Let days be the ones that betray you at all times
For no cure can avail a person of death

Imam Al-Shafi'i (RA)

The Party Ending

I went to a party, Mom, I remembered what you said.
You told me not to drink, Mom, so I drank soda instead
I really felt proud inside, Mom, the way you said I would.
I didn't drink and drive, Mom, even though the others said I should.

I know I did the right thing, Mom, I know you are always right.
Now the party is finally ending, Mom, as everyone is driving out of sight.
As I got into my car, Mom, I knew I'd get home in one piece.
Because of the way you raised me, so responsible and sweet.

I started to drive away, Mom, but as I pulled out into the road,
the other car didn't see me, Mom, and hit me like a load.
As I lay there on the pavement, Mom, I hear the policeman say
the other guy is drunk, Mom, and now I'm the one who will pay.

I'm lying here dying, Mom.... I wish you'd get here soon.
How could this happen to me, Mom? My life just burst like a balloon.
There is blood all around me, Mom, and most of it is mine.
I hear the medic say, Mom, I'll die in a short time.

I just wanted to tell you, Mom, I swear I didn't drink.
It was the others, Mom. The others didn't think.
He was probably at the same party as I.
The only difference is, he drank and I will die.

Why do people drink, Mom? It can ruin your whole life.
I'm feeling sharp pains now. Pains just like a knife.
The guy who hit me is walking, Mom, and I don't think it's fair.
I'm lying here dying and all he can do is stare.

Tell my brother not to cry, Mom. Tell Daddy to be brave.
And when I go to heaven, Mom, put "Daddy's Baby" on my grave.
Someone should have told him, Mom, not to drink and drive.
If only they had told him, Mom, I would still be alive.

My breath is getting shorter, Mom. I'm becoming very scared.
Please don't cry for me, Mom. When I needed you, you were always there.
I have one last question, Mom, before I say good-bye,
"I didn't drink and drive, so why am I the one to die?"

This is the end Mom
I wish I could look you in the eye
To say these final words
"I LOVE YOU AND...GOODBYE”

Allah Knows

When you feel all alone in this world
And there’s nobody to count your tears
Just remember, no matter where you are
Allah knows
Allah knows

When you carrying a monster load
And you wonder how far you can go
With every step on that road that you take
Allah knows
Allah knows

No matter what, inside or out
There’s one thing of which there’s no doubt
Allah knows
Allah knows
And whatever lies in the heavens and the earth
Every star in this whole universe
Allah knows
Allah knows

When you find that special someone
Feel your whole life has barely begun
You can walk on the moon, shout it to everyone
Allah knows
Allah knows

When you gaze with love in your eyes
Catch a glimpse of paradise
And you see your child take the first breath of life
Allah knows
Allah knows

No matter what, inside or out
There’s one thing of which there’s no doubt
Allah knows
Allah knows
And whatever lies in the heavens and the earth
Every star in this whole universe
Allah knows
Allah knows

When you lose someone close to your heart
See your whole world fall apart
And you try to go on but it seems so hard
Allah knows
Allah knows

You see we all have a path to choose
Through the valleys and hills we go
With the ups and the downs, never fret never frown
Allah knows
Allah knows

No matter what, inside or out
There’s one thing of which there’s no doubt
Allah knows
Allah knows
And whatever lies in the heavens and the earth
Every star in this whole universe
Allah knows
Allah knows

Every grain of sand,
In every desert land, He knows.
Every shade of palm,
Every closed hand, He knows.
Every sparkling tear,
On every eyelash, He knows.
Every thought I have,
And every word I share, He knows.
Allah knows.

Change my dead heart

 Shaykh Zulfiqar Ahmad (db)

Wash all the filth away and change my dead heart
Wash all the filth away and change my dead heart
Make me alive again, give me a fresh start
Wash all the filth away and change my dead heart
Make me alive again, give me a fresh start

So change my heart please and wash the filth away
Don’t leave me drowning here alone and astray.
So change my heart please and wash the filth away
Don’t leave me drowning here alone and astray.

I spent my life running away from you
I spent my life running away from you
And now I have no where to turn except to you

I turn to you and begging you to be saved
I turn to you and begging you to be saved
And change me into an obedient slave
I turn to you and begging you to be saved
And change me into an obedient slave

Wash all the filth away and change my dead heart
Make me alive again, give me a fresh start

I have been doing all my life what I craved
I have been doing all my life what I craved
Shaytan and nafs have always held me enslaved

I am ashamed that I have broken your rules
I am ashamed that I have broken your rules
Worshiped my nafs and feel an ignorant fool

But now I know the path leading me to deen
I bow to you and asking you to help me
But now I know the path leading me to deen
I bow to you and asking you to help me

Wash all the filth away and change my dead heart
Make me alive again, give me a fresh start

I wish your name to be engraved in my heart
I wish your name to be engraved in my heart
I will be grateful to you – change this dead heart
I wish your name to be engraved in my heart
I will be grateful to you – change this dead heart

My heart is dark and so my eyes remain dry
Hypocrisy and hubris won’t let me cry

I’m at your door and begging you let me in
I’m at your door and begging you let me in
Don’t push me back to my hopeless life of sin
I’m at your door and begging you let me in
Don’t push me back to my hopeless life of sin

So change my heart and forgive my sins this day
Don’t leave me drowning here alone and astray

Wash all the filth away and change my dead heart
Make me alive again, give me a fresh start

Honour Your Wife

Honour your wife,
Don't raise your voice
Rememeber, she wasn't forced to marry you,
it was her choice

Honour your wife,
never raise your hand
For when she is attacked,
Allah will defend

Honour your wife,
show love and care
she thinks of you
when she decides what to wear

Honour your wife,
never speak lies
Remember, you are the only one
that matters in her eyes

Honour your wife,
never insult her style
To impress YOU,
she went that extra mile

Honour your wife,
love your wife
From 3 billion males,
she accepted YOU in her life

Honour your wife,
never hit and never cheat
Remember, one day
her Creator you will meet.

Oscillations

They said it was constant, it simply never breaks.
To others that said, a major one is all it takes.

Such is the speech, of deviants from long ago.
But it certainly oscillates, that we do know.

And with it a hand, the pendulum of a clock.
Come the day that it stops.. an uninvited knock.

The trouble is where, will one be when it ends.
On the life that one lived, the answer depends.

It's not just their actions, it's the way that they thought.
For glowing mountains of deeds, they can still be for naught.

But that's another subject, let's talk about this swing.
For it really is, a most troubling thing.

So why is it that, one day we pray five.
We are so happy, it feels great to be alive.

Then come the next day, our limbs weigh a ton.
"It's asr you say? I thought thuhr just begun!"

It could be for, a variety of reasons.
Certainly we all have our inner demons.

But what if it was, that a good deed with pride.
Is more of a danger, than the sins that we hide.

So we didn't show the others, that's not what this is about.
It's on an inner level, that we claimed we were devout.

We sometimes forget, we all have a past.
We do a good deed, we forget this so fast.

Remember yourself, and what your Lord has still granted.
If you ever did good, it was something He planted.

So thank him humbly, and hope for the best.
Yes even our good deeds can be upon us a test.

It's a troubling matter, something to think about.
A possible explanation, for those sudden spells of drought.

Slave of Allah

O Slave of Allah!
How strange is your affair!

You are heedless of your Lord
Yet He remembers you much

You fast not for His Sake
Yet He provides for you your sustenance

You question Him when calamity falls
Yet He keeps you safe from every harm

You walk not to His house
Yet He provides you with a healthy body

You turn your face away
Yet He blesses you with beauty

You withhold your hands
Yet He provides for you wealth

Your face does not turn red when He is abused
Yet He answers you when you need

You complain about what you don’t have
Yet He showers you with blessings

You compete in sin
Yet He withholds His punishment

You laugh like you will live forever
Yet He allows you to wake each day

O Slave of Allah!
Who destroys you but you?

Dedicated to my Parents

You ask how much I need you, must I explain?
I need you, oh my darling, like roses need rain.
You ask how long I'll love you; I'll tell you true:
Until the twelfth of never, I'll still be loving you.

Hold me close, never let me go.
Hold me close, melt my heart like April snow.

I'll love you till the bluebells forget to bloom;
I'll love you till the clover has lost its perfume.
I'll love you till the poets run out of rhyme,
Until the twelfth of never and that's a long, long time.

Hold me close, never let me go.
Hold me close, melt my heart like April snow.

I'll love you till the bluebells forget to bloom;
I'll love you till the clover has lost its perfume.
I'll love you till the poets run out of rhyme,
Until the twelfth of never and that's a long, long time.

Until the twelfth of never and that's a long, long time.

All Merciful

In the darkness of the night, I stand before you a sinful slave,
The flowing tears upon my face I feel, only Allah you can save,

The footsteps of an ant you hear, my cry is loud, I am sincere,
I wrong you not but my soul, we shall meet soon, I am in fear,

Free from all love but yours, make my heart clean and pure,
Shackles of sin are hard to break, with your help I can endure,

Prostration and in awe, I accept my every sin, how can I deny,
In your limitless mercy and forgiveness, sinners like me rely,

Ar Rahman, Ar Raheem, the joys of my heart I cannot conceal,
I long to meet I do not fear, an ecstasy, I wish you could feel.

Come Back to the Deen

This is a true story, of how a sister came back to her Deen Alhumdulillah!

She was a sweet and innocent girl, her name was Aisha
She loved her parents, Abdul and Alisha.
For them, she was the best thing to have happened
She was always cheerful and never easily saddened
She studied hard to achieve her goals,
Top of the class, she was told.

She enjoyed spending time with her mates,
Until one day they had a debate,
Not knowing that this was about to change was her fate.

She started making new friends
Began following the latest trends,
Mixing with boys is how it begun
She thought this was fun
Her new friends would constantly, be flirting with boys,
In return they were treated as toys.

Aisha started to let shaitan get in her way,
She took off her headscarf and went astray.
She did this on the sly,
What would she have said to her Lord if, suddenly she was to die?

Months later, after the continuous misbehaving,
And ‘time-to-time’ raving.
She fell for Zain, the boy of her dreams
Well so it seemed.
They got closer and closer
And fell in love with each other.

She wasn’t allowed to out that often,
Considered herself to be a boffin
So she started bunking school,
To be with, Zain, what a fool?!
She lied to her mum and dad,
Not knowing how it would make them sad.

Then she started drifting apart from everyone
Zain was her life, her number one.
Her studies went down the drain,
She wasn’t ashamed.

A year went by; her parents found out and began to cry.
What had happened to their sweet little Aisha?
Hours turned into days, days into months and months into years,
The regular rowing turned into tears,
Her parents were angry,
Wanted to send her off to their country

She couldn’t stay away from her lover
So she decided to do a runner,
Consequently her parents found out her plans to runaway with Zain
Never has Aisha seen her mum and dad suffer so much pain
She saw tears in their eyes
She thought no more lies?

Zain kept calling her as he was missing her
It was a choice between him or her mother and father
What was she to do?

She realised being with Zain
Was driving her insane
And the people she loved, so much pain.
She went up to her room,
And asked herself was she doomed?
On her bed was an Islamic book,
She picked it up and had a look

To her surprise it read,
"And whoever does evil or wrongs himself but afterwards seeks Allah's forgiveness, he will find Allah Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."
[surah an-Nisa; 4:110]

From this day on she turned to Allah Subhana Wata’Ala
To leave behind her days of Jahiliyyah
Started to pray, five times a day,
To keep shaitan away,
From leading her astray
Love for Allah grew stronger, Alhumdulillah

Aisha realised it was time to finish with her boyfriend,
And began making amends with her real friends
She started researching on the Hijab,
Wearing the Hijab is no futile action,
It must be obeyed by women of the Muslim nation,
A woman may go through much trial and tribulation
Because she has obeyed Allah Subhana Wata’Ala
But the fulfilment of this action will never go unnoticed, Subhan’Allah

"Never will I allow to be lost the actions of any of you; whether male or female" (Surah Al-Imran 3:195)).

She thought to herself
Nothing good comes simple
With regards of struggle in wearing the Hijab
Allah has ordered us to cover our self
Not to expose our beauty
We should only be recognised by our personality
Therefore she put the Hijab back on.

This time her Iman was stronger
Since she got back her faith and trust in Allah, Subhana Wata’Ala
Abdul and Alisha, her mother and father
Were slowly starting to forgive her,
This was a sign from Allah Subhana Wata’Ala
As she was constantly repenting and following the Sunnah
Love for their daughter,
Was greater than ever.... Alhumdulillah!

Nothing good will come easy in this life, Our Lord has promised not to overburden a soul with more than it can bear. The problem that the we as an Ummah are facing is that we have forgotten that WE ARE TRAVELLERS ON THIS EARTH, AND EVERY TRAVELLER MUST RETURN HOME!!!

ALL PRAISE BE TO ALLAH, Ar-Rahmaan, Ar-Raheem.

Depth of Sins

What do you think of the one who’s ill
the remedies for his illness are in his reach
yet he chooses to let himself deteriorate
doing nothing to recuperate?

His condition is like the one
who sees himself falling short in his deen
is aware of what will return him to his Lord
but he stands by, helplessly watching himself
as he falls deeper into the depths of sins…

What a Smile Hides

A smile hides the lies
That no one can abide
A smile hides the tears
That wish to drain from the eyes because of fears
A smile hides the hate
And keeps it behind its unbroken gate
A smile hides the pain
That comes without gain
A smile hides the sorrow
Of another gloomy tomorrow
A smile hides what we truly feel
And turns the lies into something real

Love of Allah

The love of God is very evident.
you can see it every second:
The air that we breathe, the sun that shines,
the earth that we stand upon.
The food and drink, the clothes, the wife, the children, the properties, the car:
they are all the endowments of God upon us,
The greatness(glory) of God is also obvious
through His mountains, oceans, the scenic views.
His power is also evident.
It occurs in front of us: the sudden death of someone,
an automobile accident, the land/hill slope,
the collapse of a building, the flood which ruins everything,
the strong wind that destroys buildings, plants, and woods,
the volcanoes that erupt, which are very terrifying,
and the crash of planes that cause the deaths of a large number of people,
the earthquake that destroys houses,
killing thousands of people, the political leaders are overthrown,
and the millionaire who falls into bankruptcy.
One who used to be honored, is no longer respected,
in contrast he is disgraced.
One who used to be disgraced, is now honored or respected.
One who was well known, is now forgotten.
One who was not well known, is now a public figure.
Our eyes notice all these events but sadly we do not realize it because our heart is blind.
We should already have learned many lessons from them.
But our heart is dead.
The above said incidents do not touch our heart.
But, after our soul is taken by the angel of death,
only then we start to realize it, as if we have just awakened from a false slumber.
At that time, we’re so shocked, to the extent that our eyes are open widely.
We start to realize the reality of this life.
We start to know the reality of the world and the Hereafter.
But it is too late already.
You have exceeded the border.
It is the time to receive the consequence!
by Humbleservant

Prayer Time

A blur of colors standing in a row

Words spoken silently
Misty eyes touch the soul
Of those who understand
Concentration etched on faces
Trying to absorb the words
Time slows inside as the meaning
Flows through the heart
Lifting the spirit out of darkness
Shining light into the soul
As heads bow in humility
To Him who always watches

Fitra

In The Name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful

All Praise be to the one who Created us;
There are some who make His existence a fuss;
Those who disbelieve in Him, they are in Loss;

In this life we have a test;
The question: whose fear of Allah is the best?
To worship him is our quest.

Time and Time again we are faced with situations;
In which we must make tough decisions;

Fools are we, we think we're so smart;
shaytan attacks us with many ideas like darts;
According to him, we plan and chart;
Not knowing that he is poisoning our hearts;
The time comes when we realize the mistake in our Parts;
One last chance!, for some the tauba starts;

Even still, some don't ask of His Forgiveness;
They don't realize that they're in a big mess;
Never do they ask of Allah's Mercy;
They have eyes, but can they really see?;

There are also the righteous however;
Forget to ask Allah?, NEVER!;
They ask Allah in every endeavor;
To help them as part of His Favor;
Then, even if they are affected by Shaytans call;
They are not hurt by the hard fall;
They quickly get back up, standing tall;
Racing to gain forgiveness from The Merciful;
Allah promised to answer the caller's call;

Take a lesson from the fitra of the child;
With the lesson of walking they are trialed;
Yes, they do fall, but they are not beguiled;
They get back up and take a step;
Maybe again they accidentally trip;
But they stand up again and get a grip;
More and more steps take place;
Before you realize it, they are walking with so much grace;

An example for us, as we grow in our age and Deen;
Like the baby, hard challenges we have seen;
As the baby walks with so much grace;
We should also pick up our pace;
We are travelers, there is no question;
To Allah is our ultimate destination!

May the Prayers and blessings of Allah be on His beloved;
and on the companions who prayed and strived;
That the Deen of Allah might be carried on to those who came later;
On high thrones will they be raised in the hereafter;

My Beloved Beard

by Safeer Ahammed Musaliar

Life has really changed.
Gone are the days.
Where people used to say
'Aww your face is so sweet and smooth'.

Gone are the days.
Where it took ages,
To shape my sideburns
And shave all the facial hair.

Gone are the days.
Of beauty, charm and attraction
As the beard is now,
A symbol of terrorism and backwardness.

People see me now,
As something strange and weird.
My relatives often make fun of me,
By asking . who broke your heart?

My distant friends ask me,
Did you join any terrorist camp?
My close friends at times make fun of me
'Hey man, blades are very cheap nowadays'

Women often ask me,
Why don't you shave that ugly beard
And be like a charming superstar?
You look boring!

I feel sorry for my sisters
As their minds are now totally corrupted
Inside the web of clean-shaved star icons,
As they're the new age 'trend setters'.

But very few know
That I follow a superstar.
His name is Muhammed (peace be upon him),
The forgotten hero.

And I have no regrets
As he has taught me,
'This world is prison for a believer
And paradise for a non-believer. '

So wake up, O muslim youth !
Remember our heroes - The Prophets and the Sahabahs
Remember, this world is a testing place
And don't let your senses to deceive you.

So be proud to imitate,
The Prophetic style
For he has commanded us,
'Grow your beards and trim your moustaches'.

And he who loves his Sunnah,
Has indeed loved him.
And he who loves him,
Will be with him in Paradise !

When I Was Ill

I was feeling ill

Solution was the pill
If only it could make me recover
In a spilt, like the Creator

The adhan was heard calling
The water for wudhu' was cool freezing
Wiz His name I began my prayer
To HIM i submit and surrender

To the bed i jumped again
Nothing else to bargain
Covering myself wiz blankets
I was asleep as though in casket

Dreams brought me far
To an island offshore
I saw a bird flying
I thought of many things

I tried to catch the bird
Till i fall down like dirt
And i could not get up
There was no one to help out

I cry a lot but there wasn't any tear
I was left all alone in my own fear
I was awake from the loud sound "vroom"
Alhamdulillah i was safe in my room

A sparrow flew on to my window sill
Making sound behind the grill
It was the same bird as in my dream
But only real this time it seem

I get up and walk towards the window
And the bird was quiet for a minute over
I saw a man starting his bike noisily
Disturbing the bird especially

And now I notice why didn't the bird fly
Just like when i'm ill, i could only lie
It's wing was injured badly
Perhaps by someone or accidentally

SubhanAllah I was thinking
How much ni'mat He has been giving
To ponder upon HIS creatings
Animals wiz four legs, others wiz wings.

I thought how wonderful Allah is
Everything around me is really His
I realise how much lucky i am
I'm still able to move around

Thank ya Allah for all that Ya give
The illness Ya bestow is indeed a gift
Every illness comes wiz His forgiveness
May He grants us mercy and easness

Ameen

Lessons of Muharram

Since the Hajj, our slates are clear,
Muharram is the first month of the year.

In this month, Bani Israel got freedom from Firawn’s wrath,
Hazrat Hasan and Husain were martyred in Allah’s path.

Firawn was a very tyrant king indeed,
And he exceeded the limits in his deeds;

Allâh taught us a lesson through Firawn,
Those who defy Allâh’s message will drown.

Martyrs have a blissful life in paradise,
They escaped the prison of this life, which is nice.

Allâh teaches us through their shahadat
We all have to wish for this best of ibadat.

We must change our lifestyle and have Allah’s fear,
To truly deserve a happy and pious new year!

If our Imaan is strong,
Allah will help us all along.

The Real Orphan

The real orphan is unruly
yet he thinks he acts coolly
He loves to rant and rave;
is it attention he craves?

Who has produced one so errant?
surely it is the hopeless parent!
The father too busy in the shop
the mother buying another shapely top!

The parents cares for him not
letting him to lie and rot
If one has to about him complain
the parents says; 'surely my angel isn't to blame!'

To the parents I say; 'if you leave the nanny to bring up your child,'
'do you expect him to behave other than wild?'

An Ode to Facebook

It all started with an invite.
A crime in broad daylight,
For it was sent to friends infinite.
Yet, meant to excite.

To see my friend’s photos,
My secrets I did disclose.
After creating an account,
Facebook, I did mount.

They bribed me with a Profile
Like a Kingfisher seat in the aisle.

Soon enough, I got poked,
And my emotions got evoked.
I proposed, but she got provoked,
For no fault of mine, I got smoked!

Few strangers sent friend requests,
I ignored the chests & accepted breasts,

Damn! This Facebook suggests,
Strangers I wouldn’t invite as guests.

I got a dashboard too,
And the voyeurist in me grew.
Now I could see girlfriends, wives,
Drives, contrives, thrives and archives.

Now I could see links, pages, ages,
And onstage, offstage rampages.

Status updates, Comments & Likes,
All controlled my mood spikes.

With Newsfeeds served to me hot,
I had hit a jackpot.

Facebook as an idea, I had bought,
Rest of my life, I forgot.

HIjab for Allah

I wear my hijab/niqab for ALLAH,

Not for my father
Not for my brother
Not for any other
Than ALLAH

I cover myself for ALLAH,
No one makes me
No one forsakes me
No one rejects me
No one subjects me
But ALLAH

My modesty is for ALLAH,
Commanded in Qu'ran
For Him and no one else
Seeking His reward
Moving closer toward ALLAH
